Sender Reputation is a key metric to a healthy email marketing. To keep your sender domains trustworthy and able to send bulk emails (without ending in spam folder), you need to keep Sender Reputation high.

Besides frequency and the number of emails, there are also several factors that influence Sender Reputation (from subject lines to images). These general tips improve sender reputation and deliverability.
- Focus on the subject and preheader the most. Do not include false statements, ALL CAPS, too many emojis, or “!” signs. Moreover, the preheader should be around 90-120 characters long. CareCloud Email Designer will automatically alert you about preheader length.
- Avoid spammy words and phrases like "free, now, rich, best, get rich quick, 100% off everything, congratulations, you are a winner!, click for instant profit," etc.
- Write alternative text to your images. Most inbox providers don’t load images from new senders right away. CareCloud Email Designer will automatically alert you if the alternative text is missing.
- Preview your emails on both desktop and mobile devices. Optimize for dark mode as well.
- Include a clear CTA (Call-to-Action). Use a dedicated button in CareCloud Email Designer.
- Personalize content as much as possible with custom text variables, relevant products, and images.
- Regularly clean up your e-mail list. Eliminating inactive, doubled, or unengaged contacts increases your open and click rates.
- Use a dedicated tool to test your e-mails for the likelihood of spam, like the free-to-use Mail Tester.
- Create a dedicated address strictly for transactional e-mails so it is not affected by your marketing email deliverability.
- Include a transparent and easy unsubscribe. Include it in the footer and make it visible. The unsubscription process should be done in a few clicks.
These general tips decrease your odds of ending up in spam, but your own content is also important! Send only relevant communication, include safe links, and stay truthful in your messages.
